Apple had released WatchOS 3.1.1 to Apple Watch 2 users, but unfortunately, nothing good came of it. The WatchOS 3.1.1 update has now been pulled after bricking Apple Watch 2 devices for certain users. Users who tried to download and install the WatchOS 3.1.1 update reported to Apple that their watches brought up a red exclamation mark telling them to either factory reset the smartwatch or visit the Apple Store to get help with their devices. Apple has pulled the update temporarily, and, since it was designed and released for bug fixes, will be released once Apple gets to the bottom of what's causing the bricking.
The WatchOS 3.1.1 update is not the only update gone wrong for Apple Watch owners: WatchOS 3.0 proved problematic for some users, WatchOS 2 has proven difficult with freezes and app crashes and random reboots, so again, WatchOS 3.1.1 isn't the first update with which Apple Watch users have encountered problems.
Have you downloaded WatchOS 3.1.1 before Apple pulled it? Had any problems, or did you experience smooth sailing? Any tips to provide Watch 2 owners who've experienced problems with the update? If you've updated to WatchOS 3.1.1 and are now unable to do anything with your watch, please write in and let us know so that other readers can benefit from your experience.
