The Gear S3 and Gear S2 come with enough watchfaces to keep many happy, and with the new Gear S2 Value Pack for Samsung's 2015 smartwatch that lets you select new watchfaces from the watch itself, many users will be content enough. But there are those who quickly get bored with the current watchface lineup and always want more. They're always looking for more watchfaces from platforms such as Facer, which just added Gear S3 and Gear S2 support last month. Well, WatchMaker is now looking to bring support to Samsung's platform as well.
WatchMaker is known for its thousands of customizable watchfaces that let you mix and match themes to create watchfaces you want. The company has taken to social media, however, to confirm that it intends to open up its watchfaces to Samsung's Tizen platform for the Gear S3 and Gear S2 smartwatches "in two weeks."
In the same statement, the company has also confirmed it will support Android Wear 2.0 when it becomes available, "including complications," so your WatchMaker experience will match Google's on its new upcoming smartwatches, the LG Watch Sport and Watch Style.
Here's the full announcement for those who want to know:
We are delighted to announce WatchMaker is partnering with Google, Tizen and Ticwatch2 to bring WatchMaker to more platforms than ever before!
-In the next two weeks, WatchMaker will finally be available for Samsung Gear S2 & Gear S3 in Tizen!
-We will also be releasing WatchMaker for Ticwatch2 in Feb-March.
-And as already announced, we are providing full Android Wear 2.0 support for WatchMaker including complications!
All new WatchMaker versions will be available at no additional cost for WatchMaker users.
Further announcements will be made once these builds are available!
For Gear S3 and Gear S2 users who always long for more watchface customization, WatchMaker is soon to grant your wish. Two weeks isn't that long of a wait, so just ride out the delay a little longer.
