We here at smartwatch.me often talk about cross-platform compatibility with mobile gadgets, but when we do, we’re often referring to Android and iOS – the two most dominant mobile platforms on the planet. At the same time, however, Windows Mobile still stands as a third alternative to the likes of Google’s and Apple’s systems. Believe it or not, Windows Phone users like smartwatches too, and the Vector smartwatch is perfect for you if you’re a Windows Phone lover.
The Vector smartwatch features the normal stuff you’d expect from a smartwatch (notifications, calling and texting capabilities, Bluetooth Low Energy, etc.), but Vector is touting its battery life as the one thing that’ll make you want its smartwatch the most. It is water-resistant up to 50 meters and can be used even while you’re in the shower as well as in the rain, but Vector cautions you against hot water, the sauna, and pressing buttons while underwater – which could also let water in and nullify the device’s water resistance. While many smartwatches can’t get over 36 hours (a day and a half) of battery life, and some can get as much as 4-5 days of battery life (or 5-7 days, in the case of Pebble’s smartwatches), Vector can give you 30 days on a single charge. In addition, the Vector smartwatch can hit 95% charging in just an hour.
The Vector smartwatch normally costs $299, but it is now available through the Vector smartwatch website [for 20% off], or rather, $60 off (the price being $240 as opposed to the normal $299). There aren’t many smartwatches available for Windows Phone users, and Vector’s is a good entrance into the smartwatch scene. If you’re interested in getting your Windows Phone smartwatch, head on over to the Vector website to pick it up on sale today.
Have you purchased your Vector smartwatch? Have you used Vector in the past? Are there any additional discounts and deals on the Vector smartwatch that we haven’t seen? Feel free to let us know.
