Have you been tempted to pick up something from the Apple Store this holiday season but want access to it at all times? Apple has done its best to enhance the functionality of the Apple Watch, but the Apple Watch hasn't seen all its tricks yet. The Apple Store app on the Apple Watch can now make purchases right from the wrist.
According to source 9to5Mac, there are limited items you can purchase on your wrist: only items you favorite can be purchased on the wrist. The purchases can be made on the Apple Watch by way of NFC payment system Apple Pay, which is Apple's own take on mobile payments. Next, only accessories can be favorited and purchased (you won't be able to wrist-pay for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus just yet). Additionally, there is no catalog provided (so no browsing to find what you want).
Adding the ability to purchase favorite items from the wrist isn't the only added functionality to the Apple Watch: Apple has also added multiple watch pairing compatibility and maps navigation as well as Emergency SOS, Activity Sharing, additional clock face layouts, auto unlock and the new wheelchair mode that is designed to get the more physically challenged among us out and about.
To take advantage of the new favorites Apple Watch purchase feature, head on over to the Apple Store app and download it today. Be sure your Apple Watch is on WatchOS 3 and your iPhone is on iOS 10 first.
Let us know if you've downloaded it and tell us how you like it so far (and what Apple can do to improve the experience).
