Samsung has just taken the wraps off the Galaxy Note 7, but the next major international tech conference, IFA 2016 in Berlin Germany, is right around the corner. It's been rumored that Samsung would announce the Gear S3 at this international tech conference next month, and, as has been the case with tech conferences past, the Korean giant has sent out invitations to the press to publicize the event. The invite has a black background with the words "Samsung Press Conference at IFA 2016," the conference in red lettering, and a watch dial symbol that splits "2016." In other words, with watchface/dial hands, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that Samsung intends to announce its next-generation Gear S3 smartwatch lineup at IFA 2016. The date of the Gear S3 announcement is clearly visible: Thursday, September 1st at 11:00am-12:00PM (in the evening for those who live in EST).
So far, we've seen at least two Gear S3 models Samsung intends to announce: first, the Gear S3 Frontier and the Gear S3 Classic, and perhaps a Gear S3 Explorer variant. Samsung will also team up with De GRISOGONO to launch a luxury Gear S3 in March 2017, so ultimately, there'll be 4 Gear S3 models to choose from. Samsung is always one to release models that fit everyone at every price point.
