The HTC smartwatch is something of a mystery, with the smartwatch rumored so many times it's all too easy to take anything that mentions it with a large grain of salt. And yet, there comes a time when famous leaksters do their thing and we see them predict the arrival of so many products that we can't deny what they say (even if we want to).
A new HTC smartwatch rumor from renown leakster @evleaks (Evan Blass) says that the long-rumored, mythical HTC smartwatch will arrive to the market this coming early June. This isn't the first time we've seen the HTC smartwatch rumored: Evan also said in February that the HTC smartwatch would be out "before the end of April," though April has now come and gone and there's still no sign of the fabled wrist wearable. So, we're always cautioned to take rumors with a grain of salt.
Nevertheless, it seems as though making an HTC smartwatch is on the company's agenda, seeing that the Taiwanese smartphone maker doesn't want to find itself in the same position it's been in since releasing the One M8 and One M9.
We don't have any additional information on the HTC smartwatch, but we're told to expect its release this summer. Could it be that HTC is pairing up with Android Wear to launch the smartwatch? A June release could make sense, particularly because HTC's HTC 10 smartphone is going on sale this month and HTC would want to strike while the iron's hot. We've already had our say about what HTC needs to do in order to have its smartwatch compete in sales, but as to whether or not HTC has a winner on its hands is up to the company.
