iOS developer Allen Wong has been working hard on creating an app that will let you use your Apple Watch to interact with your Tesla Model S. Wong’s Remote S For Tesla app, as the app is named, lets you already use Siri to summon your vehicle, but Wong’s new update for the app now lets you summon your Tesla Model S by way of the Apple Watch.
In a new video, Wong shows us how you can press “Summon” (the new feature within Remote S For Tesla) and “watch” (pun intended) as your car then starts, backs out of the garage, and so on. The video shows the Tesla Model S and the garage door working together, so perhaps the Apple Watch will become a large part of home automation by way of Apple’s own HomeKit service. We’ve seen smartwatches open doors, turn on smart TVs, and even unlocked smart door knobs before – so Wong’s ideas are well within reason.
The Remote S For Tesla app is available at the App Store for $10.
