Smartwatches can do a whole host of activities, from checking notifications, to keeping track of sleep and fitness data, not to mention reminding you about missed phone calls, battery levels (and the need to recharge; I hate the 15% "battery is running low" messages), and so on, but the price has been a huge deterrent for some to invest in them. Pebble is hearing the desire of its customer base and is delivering on that today: both the original Pebble Time and Pebble Time Round have been discounted $50, with the Pebble Time coming in at around $149.99 (from $199.99) and the Pebble Time Round at $199.99 (down from $249.99).
Both smartwatches offer a color LCD display, with the Pebble Time Round being a response to the current circular smartwatch craze that now has nearly every manufacturer making circular smartwatches. Additionally, Pebble has brought its own Pebble Health setup to these smartwatches, which tracks sleep and fitness data (calories, steps, distance, etc.), and the company says that nearly 90% of its users are making good use of Pebble Health.
