AT&T iPhone users have had Pebble text messages for some time now, but it's not surprising. Somehow, someway, AT&T always brings the latest technology to its users (example: NumberSync that lets you use 1 phone number for all your devices instead of a new number for each device). Pebble, though, wants to extend the feature to all carriers and all its users, and Verizon is the next fortunate carrier to receive Pebble text messaging support. Verizon iPhone users are getting the feature today, and, at the touch of a button, it can land on your devices (if it hasn't landed already).
Pebble says that, though Verizon now joins AT&T with carrier support for the feature, which lets you send even voice replies right from your Pebble watch, it intends to bring Pebble text messaging support to other carriers in the future (though the timeline is mysterious at this point).
If you're a Verizon iPhone owner with a Pebble smartwatch, head on over to update your Pebble app and smartwatch in order to enjoy the feature.
Did you receive the update? Have you tried out the text messaging feature yet? Find it convenient? Do you think Pebble should add to its new text messaging support? If so, what?
