Remember the Nokia smartwatch? Codenamed "Moonraker," it is reported to have been something of an upcoming project for Nokia before the company went downhill in sales and found themselves selling out to Microsoft to keep the Windows Phone platform unified. Well, the Nokia smartwatch never came to be, but bits about the fabled wrist wearable continue appearing online. The latest comes from a smartwatch tutorial about the Nokia moonraker.
The tutorial leaked courtesy of Twitter member @Core, who wrote above the small video, "More Moonraker bits. The smartwatch that never came to be."
A glance at the tutorial (screenshot above) shows that the Nokia smartwatch had apps at the very top of the display and notifications at the bottom. To reach your notifications, you could swipe from the bottom up or long press the display.
We don't know much about what the Nokia Moonraker smartwatch would have been like, but at the start of 2016, famous leakster Steve Hemmerstoffer leaked some photos of the Nokia smartwatch's design, which you can see below. With Nokia recently amending its corporation to include wearables, the Nokia smartwatch may be seeing its first few signs of resurrection.
