The Moto 360 Sport has been something of an oddball for Motorola and Android Wear. The sports smartwatch was released back in September without much fanfare, in large part because of the success of the original, luxury Moto 360. Still, Motorola assumed it would find a few buyers interested because it has more of the rugged wristband look that is a perfect fit for fitness gurus, athletes, and the more fitness-oriented crowd.
Apparently, Motorola underestimated the public.
In something that is nothing short of surprise, Google has gone and pulled the Moto 360 Sport from the Google Store. No formal announcement has been made, no reason has been given, but it appears as though the smartwatch hasn't sold all that well and Google doesn't want to waste any more space with a smartwatch that won't bring in much revenue for the company. Of course, there are probably a few other watches in the Google Store that aren't selling well, either, and seeing that Android Wear hasn't done much to pull ahead of Apple's WatchOS in the last year or so, this may not be the definitive reason for it.
Are you sad to see the Moto 360 Sport leave the Google Store, or do you feel as though it wasn't selling anyway?
