Instructions on Removing LG G Watch R strap
Are you having a hard time removing the band on your LG G Watch smartwatch? Or maybe you saw one of the replacement bands and straps featured on our forum. We think an aftermarket watch band or Nato Strap is the best modification and first thing you should do to your LG G Watch R. The stock band is too basic for the nice design of the G Watch R.
Step 1 - Buy a Spring Bar Remover Tool
We highly recommend using a spring bar tool to install or remove a 22mm band. You could try to use a flat head precision screw driver, but chances are you're going to damage your watch and/or scratch your brand new leather band.
Sometimes you can find spring bar tools at your local jewelry shop, but most do not sell them. Simple reason, they want you to pay them to replace the band on your watch! The best place to buy the tool is Amazon, this is the one we used for this guide:

Step 2 - Remove Stock Band
This is when you realize how important the spring bar tool really is. Because of the V shaped end, you're able to grip the spring bar much better. Pull the leather strap back on one side to uncover the spring. Then using the tool pull the spring back until you can release the band. Repeat on opposite side. This step may take a few tries, be patient and gentle!
Step 3 - Remove Spring Bar Pins from Stock Strap
Now that you have the old band removed, go ahead and take out spring bar pins out from the straps. You will need these for your replacement band or Nato Strap.
Step 4 - Attach new Band or Strap
Insert the pins from your old band into the new straps. Using the spring bar tool carefully press down the pin enough so it can go back into place. You will find this step is much easier than when removing the band.
Step 5 - Enjoy the new look!
