From the time before its first smartwatch announcement, Apple made it clear that the smartwatch was meant to be a fashion device to appeal to the more “fashionista-based” crowd among us. To that end, Apple managed to secure the Apple Watch would have a place in a Parisian fashion show.
At the same time, however, Apple has also been advertising its smartwatch toward most non-fashionista-based consumers who want to have the very latest devices from the fruit company. We’ve seen the Apple Watch go from being just a product sold in Apple Stores only, to Wal-Mart and even Target selling the device. Now, Apple has teamed up with fashion brand Hermès to sell the Apple Watch Hermès collection consisting of Cuff, Single Tour, and Double Tour Apple Watch bands. The $1,500 Cuff Apple Watch band is a 42mm stainless steel strap and has one available color, Fauve. The $1,100 Single Tour comes in either 38mm or 42mm stainless steel choices and provides at least 3 colors: Capucine, Noir, and Fauve. The $1,250 Double Tour leather Apple Watch band double-wraps around the wrist, comes in the 38mm size only, and has 4 color options (Fauve, Capucine, Etain, and Bleu Jean).
These Hermès Apple Watch bands will be sold with the stainless steel Apple Watch by both Hermès and Apple at their respective sites. For those who can never get enough of a good thing (or good “bling,” rather), these Apple Watch bands should win your attention and dollars.
