We here at smartwatch.me see smartwatch deals left and right around us. Often, we evaluate the importance or significance of these deals before we announce them, simply because we believe that our customers should have the best deals accessible to them. We, like you, get frustrated to learn that a smartwatch has only been discounted by $50 ([I'm thinking of you, Google, with the Huawei Watch]). Usually, the $100 deals are more popular to us. And, would you looky here? We actually have a $100 deal available for you today!
It concerns Samsung's Gear S2 and Gear S2 Classic. Best Buy is offering both of these smartwatches for $90-$105 off the original retail price. You can pick up the Gear S2 in Black/Dark Grey or White/Silver for $209.30, but if you put your money on the most traditional of Samsung's latest smartwatch models, you'll get $105 off, with a price tag of $244.30. These smartwatches originally launched for $300 (original Gear S2) and $350 (Gear S2 Classic).
There are two things to keep in mind with these Samsung smartwatches here. First, they're Bluetooth models, not the free Gear S2 3G-connected smartwatches you'll get if you took advantage of Verizon's Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge pre-order program.
With the Gear S2 and Gear S2 Classic, you're looking at a 1.2-inch, circular Super AMOLED display, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, with a 300mAh battery, running Samsung's homegrown Tizen OS. The Gear S2 Classic stands out because it is the only watch of the two to ship with a genuine leather wristband, as opposed to the rubber wristbands provided for the original model. Samsung has gone on to make an original Gear S2 3G model to feature the world's first e-SIM and a new Gear S2 Classic 3G model that lets you change carriers remotely.
