A number of smartwatches on the market look like wrist computers, which isn't a bad thing. I, for one, prefer a device that looks smart to the traditional ones that seem to be ashamed of being smart. There are a number of consumers that disagree with my stance, and the more classic the smartwatch look, the better.
If you're of this agreement, you'll be pleased to know that Garmin has a new smartwatch that maintains a classic smartwatch look while doing all the things you want on a device with a little style. From afar, the Garmin Vivomove looks like any other classic smartwatch, but there are two features on the Vivomove that bring a little creativity to this otherwise basic smartwatch: a black bar on the left keeps track of your distance, and a red bar on the right reminds you to move. The Vivomove does other things as well, such as sleep quality, calories burned, steps made, and so on.
The Vivomove provides up to 1 year of battery life, water resistance up to 50 meters, and the ability to swap bands. There are two versions of the Vivomove, the entry-level smartwatch for $150 and the steel leather-band Vivomove for $300, so you can be creative with the watch that fits your fancy.
The Garmin Vivomove is now available for purchase at Garmin's website, though you'll have to wait 5-8 weeks for order processing. You can check out the photo gallery and Garmin Vivomove promo video below.
