The Chronologics CoWatch fundraising campaign earlier this year had us intrigued, and we wanted to wait to see if the CoWatch with Amazon Alexa voice integration would make it to market. Well, we're pleased to say that it did, and that the CoWatch now retails for $279 at Amazon.com.
Chronologics, the company behind the CoWatch's operating system (named "Chronologics OS"), teamed up with Amazon to offer the retailer's own Alexa voice assistant on the CoWatch. The beauty of this is that you can order lots of stuff from your wrist (socks, even!), with the CoWatch featuring a 400 x 400p AMOLED display, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, stainless steel body, and quick access to actions such as airplane mode and the battery meter. The Chronologics OS runs Android Lollipop, actually, which means that it can run any Android app in theory (we don't recommend trying it, but the DIY crowd among us most likely will). The 8GB of internal storage is the maximum storage you'll find on smartwatches these days, but the CoWatch doesn't own the storage crown alone but shares it with the Haier Watch and the Omate Rise.
If the Chronologics CoWatch has you interested, head on over to Amazon and pick it up. Come back here and let us know you purchased one (or more, if you're feeling generous), then tell us what made you do it.
