The ASUS ZenWatch 3 has appeared in leaked photos and at the FCC with a new circular design, but the company's official announcement put all rumors and whispers (and even company teasers) to rest. That happened today at the pre-IFA 2016 show in Berlin, as ASUS unveiled its next-generation Android Wear smartwatch, the ASUS ZenWatch 3.
The ZenWatch 3 features a 1.39-inch, circular AMOLED display with a 400 x 400p screen resolution, IP67 water and dust resistance, Qualcomm's Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor that was specifically designed for wearables, and ASUS's HyperCharge fast-charging technology that gives you 60% juice in just 15 minutes.
The ZenWatch 3 will come in three finishes: Gunmetal, Silver, and Rose Gold, with a price tag of around $250 USD. As you'll notice, ASUS has raised the price of this smartwatch up to $100 more than the first-generation ZenWatch and the $150 ZenWatch 2 (the premium design is likely to blame here). ASUS has been known for its ultra-affordable smartwatches, but its push into the premium sector may or may not have an effect on consumer purchases.
We'll be back to provide more info on the ZenWatch 3 as information arrives. For now, take a look at the photos below and let us know what you think.
