We here at smartwatch.me want to wish you and your family a very happy Thanksgiving today. Yes, millions of Americans are celebrating the festivities with all sorts of delicious food (naming some types will make us hungry while we're writing posts!), though time with family remains most important come the holidays. And yet, the tech world marches on. In the case of ASUS, we've sad before that ASUS would bring its latest-generation wearable worldwide in the month of November, and the time has come: the ZenWatch 3 maker is bringing its newest Android Wear-powered smartwatch to Australia tomorrow, the day after you've stuffed yourself.
That's right: the land down under is getting the ASUS ZenWatch 3 with a price tag of $449AUD on tomorrow, Black Friday, but will only be available at ASUS's online store. There is another limitation to the ZenWatch 3's arrival: there will be no Silver or Rose Gold options when the smartwatch goes on sale (only Gunmetal and Brown leather), so you will have to make do with the available color options).
We've reiterated the specs of the ZenWatch 3: its 1.39-inch AMOLED display with a 400 x 400p screen resolution, the Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor that is designed solely for wearables, the 340mAh battery with swappable bands, and the usual specs like the 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage that you'll find on any Android Wear device. While the specs are not necessarily anything to write home about, the design itself shows that ASUS is finally entering into the luxury wearables market after producing two ZenWatch models at budget-friendly price points.
Australian customers should get their money ready for ASUS's first luxury Android Wear smartwatch. Tell us in the comments what you like about this product and whether or not you think this is a better direction for ASUS than its first two AW smartwatches.
